Privacy Policy

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, profile photo, and a unique account identifier. We also store your role (client, agent, or administrator).
• Project information. Details you provide about your construction projects, such as project name, location/address, phase, and related notes.
• Reports and media. Site reports, checklist responses, and photographs captured by our agents during site visits.
• Location information. When an agent checks in at a site, we collect the device’s GPS location to verify that the visit took place at the project location. We do not track location in the background or when you are not using the app.
• Payment information. When you subscribe, payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and subscription status, but we do not store your full card details on our systems.
• Device and usage information. Basic technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, and a push notification token used to deliver alerts.

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To operate the Service — scheduling visits, generating and delivering site reports, and showing project progress.
• To verify that agent site visits occur at the correct location (using check-in GPS data).
• To process subscriptions and payments.
• To send you notifications about reports, project phases, visits, and account activity.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service, and to comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:

• Within your project. Clients can view reports, photos, and progress submitted for their own projects. Agents and administrators may access project and report data necessary to perform their roles.
• Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run the Service, including Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, hosting, and push notifications) and Stripe (payment processing). These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.
• Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fortress, our users, or the public.

Your information is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure. We rely on industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your data. While we work hard to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it.

Subject to applicable law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data. The Service is intended for use by adults and is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing admin@fortressng.com. Some information may be retained where required for legal, accounting, or legitimate business purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
